This position experienced in aerospace and/or military applications. The position requires a Level 3 knowledgeable in interpreting x-ray images of ordnance hardware and experienced in fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic inspection techniques. The position requires the ability to articulate concepts, concerns, and systems problems to technical professionals to initiate resolutions. Knowledge of discrepant material procedures (i.e., nonconformance reporting) Material Review Board (MRB), and corrective action is highly desirable. This position works independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to interpret engineering documentation and inspect to drawings, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions as well as generate nondestructive inspection requirements. Candidate should be fluent in use of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new computer programs/applications.
Required Qualifications: Candidate must be certified NAS 410, Level 3 in x-ray, fluorescent penetrant, magnetic particle, and ultrasonic inspection and must have recent work experience under a certified quality management systems (e.g. AS9100, ISO9001, etc.). The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications, along with interpersonal skills that aid in achieving both primary and multi-departmental goals. Candidate musts have a continuous work history with fifteen (15) or more years of experience with demonstrated knowledge of nondestructive testing techniques used in the inspection of composite structures. Hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques, and the ability to work effectively with NDT professionals at supplier facilities. The ideal candidate will have a track record of working closely and successfully with engineering and procurement professionals in the product assurance process to ensure the highest quality of procured hardware. This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
