Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Principal Data Management Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's FBI ITSSS STOR 159 program.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the evaluation and selection of data management tools.
Plan and manage the migration of databases to new technologies.
Plan and oversee the installation or reinstallation process and coordinate with specialists in other functional areas to resolve connectivity, compatibility, reliability, security, and related issues.
Perform a wide range of database administration functions.
Run test queries.
Provide direction to programmers and analysts as required to affect changes to database management systems;
Perform and maintain Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
Manage the development of database projects.
Plan and budget staff and database resources.
Prepare and deliver presentations on DBMS concepts.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with6 years of relevant experience in database administration. An additional 4 years of experience in database administration may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Able to demonstrate proficiency in design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases, to include managing access methods, access time, and device allocation.
Experience with production implementation and support experience with databases on Linux/Unix platforms.
Extensive knowledge of relational database environments
Experience with database validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
Experienced at managing database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design.
Able to demonstrate proficiency in the Agile Serum methodology.
Must have a current TS clearance and the ability to obtain SCI.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experienced with MySQL including replication services and configuration preferred.
