Hyatt Revenue Manager in CHARLESTON, South Carolina
Description:
The Revenue Manager supports the Area Director of Revenue in maximizing the hotel’s top-line revenue through strategic pricing, distribution, optimization, e-marketing, and reservation sales. This role strongly emphasizes property management revenue, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s financial objectives.

Essential Job Functions:
Pricing & Analytics
Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Optimization (DORO), Revenue Optimization Center (ROC) team, and Sales leadership to analyze daily metrics and implement strategic action plans.
Develop and execute demand-based pricing strategies across all room categories, focusing on property management.
Leverage key market reports (STR, Hotelligence, rate shopping tools) to inform pricing decisions.
Monitor competitive market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
Utilize transient KPI reports to identify revenue opportunities.
Contribute to the annual business plan, guiding business mix, rate positioning, and revenue strategies.
Maintain alignment between property rates, market pricing, inventory, and distribution channel parity.
Group Optimization
Implement a data-driven group evaluation process to optimize group inventory and rates based on room-to-space ratio, pattern, and ancillary revenue contributions.
Lead Daily Business Review meetings with the Sales Team.
Oversee group block management to ensure accurate forecasting, yield optimization, and timely release of inventory.
Electronic Distribution
Develop and manage an electronic distribution strategy, optimizing content, market partnerships, and GDS distribution.
Regularly audit electronic distribution channels to ensure accurate rates and availability.
Implement strategic initiatives to drive demand and market share across all distribution platforms.
Leadership & Collaboration
Communicate property performance insights and challenges to key stakeholders, including the DORO, GM, DOSM, and ROC teams.
Influence strategic decisions and foster accountability within the revenue team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Hyatt corporate offices, distribution partners, and market managers.
Support cross-functional initiatives to drive ancillary revenue growth.
Develop and mentor the Revenue Analyst to enhance team effectiveness.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Ability to evaluate demand and implement pricing strategies.
Experience managing independent projects and presenting findings.
Familiarity with sales and revenue systems (Springer-Miller-SMS, Ideas, Reserve, RMT, EZ Links) preferred.
Willingness to travel 1-2 times per year for professional development.
The Revenue Manager is accountable for all assigned responsibilities and any additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education :
2 years of on-property hotel revenue management and e-commerce discipline focus
Extensive hotel experience with Excel
Bachelor’s degree with hospitality and/or e-commerce specialization preferred, but not required

Working Conditions:
While primarily an indoor job, must be able to work at outdoor locations on occasion, walking on uneven surfaces;
Must be able to work in either hot or cold conditions
Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day
Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, reaching, and repetitive hand & arm movements constantly; squeezing and overhead reaching occasionally
Must be able to twist and bend frequently, and squat occasionally
