What IT Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health

Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Quality Control analyzes and inspects Information Technology products and processes for compliance to internal and external specifications and standards. This job family collaborates with IT Project Management, Business Integration, and Application Development & Maintenance teams, among others, during implementation and integration projects to proactively identify compliance requirements and risks. Quality Control also conducts regular audits and develops and communicates new quality control procedures for the function.

The new automation role at Vantus is essential for driving our automation strategy and implementation. This role will provide the dedicated focus needed to transition from manual to automated testing, ensuring we adopt modern testing practices. By leading the automation efforts, this role will enhance efficiency, improve test coverage, and ensure consistency and reliability in our testing processes. Additionally, it will optimize resources by freeing up manual testers for more complex tasks and reducing overall testing costs. This role is crucial for keeping Vantus aligned with industry best practices and maintaining our competitive edge.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of a next-generation automation strategy to reduce manual testing and increase test coverage.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement automation strategies that align with business goals.

  • Design and implement robust test frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

  • Provide a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of automated processes.

  • Continuously improve and optimize automation processes and tools.

  • Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in Software Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions, preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for test automation.

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

  • Solid programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

  • Experience with Katalon Studio for test automation.

  • Experience designing frameworks, test automation tooling stack

  • Familiarity with Sauce Labs for cross-browser testing and continuous integration.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.

  • Ability to understand the data needs for the automation team and develop a good understanding of data generation strategies

  • Thorough understanding of software testing methodologies and processes. Functional, Performance, Non-Functional

  • Experience with agile project methodology and other tools such as JIRA, Gherkin, BDD.

  • Exposure to test automation using Rest Assured/SOAPUI/Postman or other API automation frameworks, other tools Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, and/or Newman

  • Ability to develop individuals and teams and coach junior members of the team

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Anticipated salary range: $103,500 - $155,295
