General Job Description:

Manages medium-large Financial Solutions projects and/ or leads a segment of large, complex projects. Manages the research of existing operations, procedures, accounting transactions, workflow, product and service requirements. Directs the analysis of assembled data to define problems associated with project scope and help determine the appropriate financial system solution. Directs project parameters, cost and resource estimates. Works closely with the LOB, Change Management, Technology and other partners to execute the project plan. Requires an in-depth knowledge of the bank's financial solutions and associated operations.

Specific Job Description:

A Project Manager within the CFO Change Management (Data Tower) function manages funded projects, particularly large and complex projects, in support of the strategic data vison for the CFO Group. The position works directly with management of the CFO Group to set strategic direction of the project(s) and works closely with Change Management, Data Management, and Technology partners to deliver projects on time, on scope, and on budget. An ideal candidate demonstrates a subject matter knowledge in existing solutions & processes within the Finance space and requires a fundamental understanding of finance, accounting, technology, data management, and project management functions. The position may include acting as a working manager of junior resources supporting their scope of projects. In addition to supervisory/administrative duties, individuals are actively involved in the review and delivery of project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate priorities and deliverables into actionable, structured project plans and communicate status

  • Assist in the development of business & functional requirements in concert with business users, data management, and technology functions

  • Develop business analysis deliverables, including but not limited to workflows and process models, business requirements, use cases, and business rules

  • Partner with business to schedule and facilitate routines to support overall delivery

  • Work with subject-matter, technical, and data experts to define and propose solutions to address issues and mitigate risks

  • Comply with enterprise project management standards

  • Lead planning and prioritization routines for initiatives

  • Leading testing, signoff, and implementation for solutions

  • Coordinating with SMEs and stakeholders across teams to deliver solutions with appropriate signoff and risk oversight

  • Assist in the development and presentation of clear and concise deliverable presentations

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of financial services including current regulatory environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent experience

  • Project management leadership for a complex system implementation

  • Ability to communicate and present technology concepts and solutions to non-technical executive management and business requirements to technologists

  • Experience developing and facilitating concise and effective presentations, including the ability to explain results of complex analysis at a level that resonates across many different audiences

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be creative, and be able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Ability to create executive-ready presentations

  • Ability to work independently and take lead on addressing issues

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of finance or business experience with product knowledge of banking and capital markets products (loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, etc.)

  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities skills needed to perform complex data analysis
