Job Description:

Responsible for performing data management, complex analysis, and modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Provides data / IM, analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of databases, performance reports for senior mgt. Manages the review and analysis of trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. Directs the development of more complex databases, program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Oversees the data design, analysis of portfolio trends, concerning credit score cutoffs, loss trends, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Integrates the analysis team with other corporate units to insure alignment of analysis with business strategies and objectives. Responsible for hiring and training Risk Analysis Specialist and Risk Analysis Analyst. PhD, Master's degree, or large data experience preferred; Programming experience like SQL, SAS preferred; 7+ years experience.

Responsibilities:

Position is responsible for performing complex statistical analysis and modeling to support the Fair Lending Program and compliance with Bank of America Fair Lending Policy and all Fair Lending laws, rules, and regulations. Incumbent will develop, strengthen and validate existing in-house fair lending modeling and analysis programs used to identify fair lending risks in underwriting, pricing, and other components of the credit cycle for all consumer lending products. Additionally, this role will work to develop and strengthen processes for data mining, assessment, and validation to ensure usability and reliability of the data. Must prepare and present statistical analysis and reports to support regulatory requests and examinations as well as presentation to business units. Additional special projects related to Fair Lending compliance will be assigned in addition to day to day responsibilities.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in applied statistics, operations research, mathematics, physics, or similar quantitative discipline

  • Advanced SAS programming or similar experience building analytical models

  • Demonstrated experience with managing and manipulating large datasets

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex statistical concepts and modeling results either orally or in writing

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a group

  • Disciplined project management skills to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with risk modeling for financial institutions

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Fair Lending

  • Mortgage banking and/or other consumer lending experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
