Job Description:

Responsible for the finance control framework over all GHR events related to AMERICAs Region, oriented to a dynamic activity and initiatives to properly book, report, analyze, document and implement controls to evaluate and mitigate financial and operational risks; ensure the accuracy of the financial figures in the GL and implementing initiatives and enhancements to achieve operational excellence.

The team member in this role will require to communicate in English and Spanish to work in close partnership with America’s payroll team, Legal Entity Controllers in the LATAM and Canada region, Global Reconciliation Governance, Regulatory Reporting, Operations, Risk and Audit (internal and external).

Scope of Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that a robust proactive quality assurance framework is established for the Finance organization to identify, assess and mitigate risk.

  • Coordinating various monthly and quarterly control routines - e.g. month end close monitoring, attestations, issues management, etc.

  • Understanding of financial statements, mainly related to HR in order to detect and apply improvements over control and analysis.

  • Coordination of regulatory and tax requirements, audits and revisions.

  • Analysis of variations month over month, quarter over quarter, and detection of material deviations.

  • Apply critical thinking to ensure work papers are in compliance with corporate standards and mitigate risk.

  • Understand the flow of different systems and detection of opportunities to improve and simplify process.

  • Direct involved in the implementation of initiatives, design, planning and testing phase.

Knowledge, Skills and Key Leadership Characteristics:

  • English /Spanish verbal and written fluent

  • Bachelor's Degree (Accounting, Finance)

  • Knowledge in accounting and financial topics

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Effective partnering skills enabling navigation of the complexities, building consensus and resolving conflict

  • Strong knowledge of Excel & Power Point including ability on VLOOKUP, PIVOTS, EXCEL FUNCTIONS and preferable, experience in Alteryx

  • Applies Critical Thinking and oriented to operational excellence

Under the direction of a Service Delivery Manager, provides analysis in the support of the successful design, delivery, financial management, communication and/or administration of complex, corporate-wide HR product(s)/program(s) that may include Compensation, LD, Learning, Payroll, Shared Services or Staffing. Additionally, may be responsible for performing routine research and follow-up.
