Job Description:

Position Overview:

Position will support the Global Accounting & Reconciliation Team within Global Operations Shared Operations. Functions include but are not limited to: oversight and approval of reconciliations and month end balance sheet attestation, managing tactical and strategic projects focused on improving the reconciliation space, implementing controls to reduce risk across the recon utility, and overall support of the operating model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a team lead and SME with oversight of BAU production work.

  • Lead continuous improvement across the AMRS reconciliation space including but not limited to:

  • Initiatives involving artificial intelligence/machine learning to automate processes and implement predictive analysis for root cause of exceptions.

  • Development and implementation of metrics related to reconciliation health and optimization.

  • Deep dive analysis of reconciliation functions and overall process to identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities.

  • Operational Excellence initiatives related to the implementation of workflow and reconciliation tools aimed at streamlining daily recon production and break management workflows.

  • Participate in Recon Centralization work stream to identify and migrate in scope reconciliations within GBAM Ops to the reconciliation utility.

  • Represent the AMRS reconciliation team in communication with internal and external audit partners and ownership of SOX processes.

Enterprise Role Overview:

Subject matter expert with at least 3 years' experience in current role. Analyzes and resolves complex operational problems. Provides technical support to the team and consults on a wide variety of topics across functional and business support lines. Knows front to back process/system flow. Strong product and market knowledge. Acts as a lead on multiple projects/initiatives on behalf of the team. Drives process improvements. Acts s Go To person for the other team. Acts as Go To person for the manager, performing some routine management support (interviewing, training & support for team members). Develops and delivers training for the team. Understands client needs, escalates issues appropriately (timely and appropriately). Proactively identifies risk. To be used for employees in Global Markets only.

Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified)

  • Intermediate or Advanced-level Excel experience.

  • Experience with reconciliation systems/design.

  • Presentable, confident and client focused.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to present to an audience.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated experience liaising with and influencing all levels of the firm and people with different experiences and backgrounds.

  • Self-motivated and inquisitive. Successful candidate will be able to manage own time, prioritize to meet tight deadlines and know when to escalate.

  • Strong focus on attention to detail.

  • Proven process improvement experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks.

  • Demonstrated ability/willingness to continuously learn on the job.

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
