Job Description:
Global Events has an exciting opportunity for a senior level professional to join its team. Successful incumbent will lead a team and manage a complex event portfolio as the overall segment lead for the Private Bank. This role will sit on the Global Event Leadership team and work directly with the LOB executive as well as partners across Marketing and Communication Leads, HR, Risk and LOB partners and will be supporting strategic objectives, multi-million dollar event budget, risk mitigation and execution plan for overall yearly plan of the LOB Event Portfolio. Travel required.
Accountable for creating event strategy for the Private Bank segment, advising & providing direction and input on overall event plan to additionally assigned planners (FTE, BCD and FIRST); coordinates the planning, management and team of people that are executing internal and client facing evens in the this segment – both in person and virtual
Accountable for the strategic implementation of the PB events strategy as well as the end-to-end event execution of events falling into this space including detailed budget creation, sourcing, invitation creation, agenda development, Cvent site, attendee management, logistics planning (menus/AV/IT), pre/post-event reporting, invoice processing, event reconciliation
Accountable for overall event portfolio’s data integrity
Qualifications – Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required for Success
10+ years of event planning experience
Demonstrated experience event planning in a large corporate environment, ideally in financial services
Demonstrated experience leading a team of event planners and interfacing with c-suite company executives.
Strong understanding of the client-managed lines of business and their clientele
Must be detail oriented, resourceful, creative and responsive, possessing a “can do” attitude Excellent project management skills:
Strong communication, organizational, time management skills and attention to detail.
Must be flexible and open to change as job structure and responsibilities may shift as needed
Must be a team-player, enthusiastic, positive, polished, poised and professional in a highly professional business setting; have strong executive presence and strategic influencing skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Ability to work and maneuver through a process driven company
Ability to prioritize and multi-task; work under tight deadlines
Ability to work extended hours and travel when required
Ability to think strategically and execute end-to-end event programming
Poised, professional and articulate; excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
