Job Summary

As a Senior Structuring Analyst, you will be responsible for leading financial modeling, structuring and analysis of renewable energy projects, generating incremental EBIT and Net Income for regulated utility operations, while also supporting business unit financial reporting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to assess project economics, revenue forecasts, earnings contribution, cash flow and risks.

  • Perform the internal business case analysis of utility developed renewable generation and acquisitions, including analysis to support corporate transaction approvals.

  • Support the project development team in performing due diligence on renewable energy projects, via Request for Proposals (RFPs).

  • Support business unit financial reporting and forecasting, collaborating with internal teams (Financial Planning & Analysis, State Presidents’ Organizations).

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

  • Responsible for staying abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes.

Basic/Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Business, Accounting or Engineering

  • 3 years related work experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and financial evaluation skills

  • Understanding of regulated utility financial operations including rate making, capital and cost recovery

  • Energy industry experience (utility, planning, trading, marketing)

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid Mobility Classification – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to a Duke Energy facility.
