Job Description:

Responsible for building, consolidating and reporting stress testing results for EST management. Performs complex analysis related to earnings, balance sheet, capital and liquidity as well as associated risk exposures. Provides analytical support for explaining business/forecast strategies in the context of baseline and stress forecasts. Reviews and analyzes trends in stress results to best understand implications both internal and externally. Understands complex interactions between economic and operational factors and their resulting impact to product, business line and financial results & position of the company. Challenges assumptions and results and is comfortable communicating and influencing business partners based on these results. Can quickly build credibility with partners. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment. Requires strong analytical, , influencing and communication skills. Comfortable with a dynamic, fluid work environment with tight deadlines. Experience with risk management, finance and/or accounting preferred.

The Enterprise Stress Testing (“EST”) group evaluates alternative “scenarios” (e.g., adverse macroeconomic environments, specific shock scenarios, and others) and is responsible for analyzing how these scenarios impact the company’s projected earnings, balance sheet, capital and liquidity positions. EST works with business, finance, and risk leaders throughout the organization to analyze the impacts and ultimately report scenario results to senior executive management.

  • The Stress Testing Consultant will contribute to EST efforts for certain forecasting work streams, including review and challenge function of forecast results, key assumptions, modeling enhancements, and other regulatory expectations as they arise

  • Assist with end-to-end challenge documentation efforts. Build relationships with key business partners to fully understand their forecast process and results, while serving as a challenge function and providing guidance on expectations and deliverables

  • Address regulatory expectations for continuous improvement, including addressing regulatory MRAs

  • Enhance EST documentation and understanding of key inputs

  • Support general analytics related to the execution of the quarterly EST cycle

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years of Finance / Risk Management experience

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to translate business concepts to financial impacts Strong communication skills

  • Strong relationship building and interaction skills

  • Result-oriented

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Self-starter with the ability to problem solve in both a team environment and in solo situations

Desired Skills:

  • Experience analyzing and reporting stress test results preferred
