Ally Treasury Analyst II in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Treasury Analyst II is responsible for supporting Treasury and associated business partners throughout the organization. The Treasury Analyst II is responsible for routine activities, within aligned function, using existing procedures and policy. The Analyst performs day to day structured work assignments requiring only moderate instruction and guidance from more senior level roles.
Extract, aggregate and analyze transactional-level source data to be utilized by QRM to create monthly current positions reconciled to the general ledger. These current positions will be utilized as the basis of BSM's Net Interest Income (NII) forecast, stress testing forecasts and Interest Rate Risk (IRR) metrics.
Create strong partnerships with important constituencies such as business segment leadership, treasury personnel, accounting personnel and enterprise risk management personnel.
Heavily assist in the process of rolling BSM's NII forecast forward to reflect updated actual transaction data.
Work within one or several of BSM's Product Teams to drive enhancements to BSM's NII forecast and/or risk metrics.
Analyze components of Ally's balance sheet from a historical trend perspective to add integrity to BSM's NII forecast and risk metrics.
Actively partner with key Treasury teams and business partners to help achieve departmental goals
Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent preferred.
1-3 years' work experience within a bank's Treasury or Finance department
Experience using software applications to define and solve complex business problems.
Knowledge of financial products and balance sheet management.
Ability to work across teams to achieve a common goal.
Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet pre-established deadlines.
Strong Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills. SQL experience is desired, but not required.
Experience with Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) is preferred, but not required.
