The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the food and beverage areas within of The Pink Grouse, the signature restaurant of the hotel.

The Pink Grouse is a bright and warm restaurant, sleekly designed welcoming guests to experience Charlottesville fare a whole new way. A true refinement of rustic, local ingredients from Charlottesville’s locally sourced farmers that transform into a modern and hyper-seasonal menu. Guests are able to try a Chef’s 10 course tasting menu or enjoy each entrée on own, and enjoy an experience taken further with a healthy selection of preferred Charlottesville wineries. With each dish presented on handcrafted plate-ware from the exposition kitchen, every guest shares the feeling of dining at a “chef’s table.”

Whether you enjoy your meal in the heart of our dining room, sitting closer to our Chef’s at our Chef’s Table or in our cozy courtyard outside, you are sure to have an unforgettable night. Should you like to have a more exclusive dining event, our Private Dining room offers seating for up to 8 guests, surrounded by local art as well as our hand-picked wine collection.

Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This person may also coordinate special events at the hotel. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years as F&B Management preferred

  • Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred

  • Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader
