BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Manager of Product Performance in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Manages Senior Care Division P&L accounting, forecasting, and reporting. The incumbent will also work closely with corporate financial, actuarial, information delivery, as well as external regulatory entities and value-based contacting partners.

Job Description:

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for development and analysis of the financial plan and growth performance of the Senior Care Division
  • Financial and operational analysis; including analysis of cost and revenue driver variance.
  • Preparation and monitoring of forecasts, budgets and financial variance analysis for Senior Care Division expansion and new business initiatives.
  • Participate in financial settlements of Value Based Contracting along with processing of contractual payments.
  • Work actively with other divisions in analyzing and monitoring contractual relationships.
  • Review proposed contracts and contract amendments for concerns or opportunities.
  • Build and maintain effective interfaces with business unit executives and corporate BCBST support staff (i.e., Finance, Actuarial, Procurement, I/D, etc.) to support overall business unit/corporate goals and objectives.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • BS in Accounting/Finance or business-related field required.

Experience

  • 7 Years’ experience in financial and business analysis required, preferably in the healthcare environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership/managerial experience required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge base of Medicare Advantage required.
  • TM1 and CPM experience required.

Skills/Certifications

  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities critical.
  • Proven problem-solving ability and experience in managing multiple assignments with deadlines critical.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Value Based Contracting critical.
  • Advanced knowledge in SAS, SQL, and Data Warehouse systems critical.
  • Ability to work with staff from various divisions and at all job levels critical.
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, and inter-personal skills critical.
