Lockheed Martin Systems Administrator (Secret Clearance) in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Aligned with the Corporation’s Chief Technology Officer, we work to advance scientific discovery and technology transition in human systems, robotics and autonomy, spectrum systems, data analytics and more. The Spectrum Systems Laboratory (SSL) is transforming spectrum operations by reimagining solutions to complex national security challenges.

Our team is experiencing rapid growth in the number and complexity of classified research projects. We are working at the cutting edge of electronic warfare, communications, and radar systems technologies. We are looking for qualified IT/network engineers who will transform our information systems operations and help us keep the DoD a step ahead of our adversaries.

What you’ll do: We are looking for a full-time, on-site engineer to join our team supporting our unclassified and classified systems. Your responsibilities will include information system (IS) buildout and administration, to include server/client operating systems and applications installation, update, and maintenance of existing and new classified systems using Windows 10, Windows Server 2019/2022, and Red Hat Linux system technologies. These are isolated local area network systems accredited under the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. You will also help ensure that the engineering tools (such as GitLab, Sonatype Nexus, etc.) and security tools (such as Splunk, Tenable Nessus, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, etc.) needed for development and security are installed, configured, hardened, and running smoothly on numerous systems across our lab; monitor networks and IT platforms for hardware/software failures and firmware/software updates, troubleshoot systems & apply patches, antivirus and security tool updates; maintain inventories of hardware, software, and documentation of systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline

• 2+ years of relevant experience

• Active SECRET security clearance or higher

• Completion of appropriate DoD 8570.01-M certification requirements for IAT Level II, system administration, such as CCNA-Sec, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, SSCP certifications

• System administration experience with Windows and/or Linux (both are preferred, Red Hat is our preferred Linux distribution)

• Basic network configuration and troubleshooting

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with designing, administering, and hardening isolated systems accredited under RMF

• Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists and SCAP scanning

• Firm understanding of OS & Systems security, encryption/hashing protocols

• Self-starter with the ability to spot potential for process improvement

• Windows/Linux integration with Active Directory and/or IPA Server, Samba/NFS File Servers, and other mixed-node services

• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash, Puppet, Ansible)

• Administration of storage systems, backup systems and directory services

• Experience maintaining DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory or comparable substitutes

• Knowledge and experience with Software Version Control systems: SVN, GIT, etc

• Experience with Docker

• Desire to learn about new and emerging IT technologies such as, not limited to, Virtualization, Cloud technologies, X-as-a-Service services

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
