The Opportunity

As a dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner Senior for our Executive Recruiting team, you will facilitate all stages of USAA’s Executive Management Group (EMG) hiring process and ensure understanding of job specifications and requirements to recruit and select qualified senior level executive management (including "C" suite level) candidates through non-traditional programs. You will advise the most effective staffing methodology to fill a variety of positions to include unique markets and hard to find qualified competitive candidates. You will serve as an advisor for outside 3rd party retained search partners.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week.

This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC, Colorado Springs, CO, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL .

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Advises Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners on full life cycle executive Talent Acquisition process, including developing a search strategy, a DE&I strategy, sourcing of candidates, (internal and external), screening, evaluating and recommending candidates, the overall interview process (including candidate preparation), interview guides, feedback, compensation information, the offer process (preparation and approval) negotiations and pre-on-boarding.

  • Maintains compliance with federal and state employment regulations and laws by adhering to EEO and OFCCP guidelines in all human resource related activities.

  • Develops and recommends a sourcing and recruiting plan (using a variety of innovative techniques and tools, including LinkedIn and professional networks, Boolean searches, and other social media tools). The plan may include, if needed, the recommendation of potential third-party search partner(s).

  • Establishes and maintains relationships in the market and proactively builds pipelines within the industry and within various functional areas.

  • Uses advanced negotiating techniques when extending external job offers to select candidates.

  • Ensures timely status notification to non-selected candidates and the timely tracking of activity for all applicant flow and ensures that all pre-employment screening requirements are met.

  • Partners with Finance and HR Business Partners monthly to understand the staffing forecast.

  • Coordinates with the appropriate staff responsible for scheduling onsite interviews, hotel and airline reservations, billing, offer letters and all other administrative documents.

  • Responsible for developing and meeting pre-established volume aspirations for DE&I and Service Level Agreements while controlling costs, and ensuring the quality of the candidates.

  • Provides ongoing search guidance, strategy and communicate market intelligence to key partners as the search unfolds.

  • Provides partners with weekly updates of search process and outcomes, proactively managing expectations.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • 6 years corporate recruiting and/or search environment, to include at least 3 years’ experience in sourcing, recruiting and screening "C" level candidates and resumes in a fast-paced high-volume environment.

  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with all levels of management.

  • Proven ability to work with "C" level management.

  • Ability to work in a compliance-driven organization (accurate documentation and compliance is a must).

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and facilitate effective working relationships within diverse constituencies.

  • Proven track record of negotiating and advising on complex executive compensation packages.

  • Proven knowledge of best-practice executive talent acquisition practices, including (but not limited to) developing recruiting strategies, employing innovative sourcing methods, partnering on executive compensation strategies, and working with a diversity mentality.

  • Demonstrated experience selecting, negotiating, and working with external search firms and vendors.

  • Experience sourcing talent using a variety of tools including LinkedIn and professional and internal networks, Boolean searches, and other social media tools.

What sets you apart:

  • Full cycle Corporate Executive Recruiting experience.

  • Large Financial Services and/or Property/Casualty Insurance Executive recruiting experience.

  • Experience working for a large Executive Search firm/agency.

  • Solid experience with innovative sourcing techniques for executive roles.

  • Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience (Full Cycle).

  • Experience with a range of recruiting/CRM/scheduling tools (I.e. Textio, Eightfold AI, Beamery, Thrive, LinkedIn, Hire EZ, Paradox).

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450.00 - $197,730.00 .

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
