In this role as an Associate Clinical Consultant, you will be responsible for demonstrating the value and impact of our Impella® product portfolio to physicians and hospital staff. You will advise Interventional Cardiologists and Surgeons in patient selection, partner on training, and attend implants. As a key role on the Commercial team, you will acquire and demonstrate a working knowledge of our products/therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications. You will provide comprehensive guidance on the appropriate use of the Impella® devices enabling physicians and staff to deliver positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Improve patient outcomes through education and medical staff interaction, including clinical demos and ongoing training for new and existing accounts

  • Collect clinically relevant data, document trip results, and communicate activities with other team members and sales counterparts.

  • Acquire and demonstrate a working knowledge of our products/therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications.

  • Attend implants and consult physicians and medical staff on appropriate use and applications.

  • Collaborate with sales counterpart on awareness programs and activities in franchise.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated base pay range for this position is [INSERT MINIMUM OF PAY BAND] to [INSERT 115% OF MIDPOINT OF PAY BAND].

Sales Incentive language (include if applicable for role): The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

Bonus Language (include if applicable for role): The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

LDP Program Sign-on and/or Early Incentive Bonuses (include this language if the LDP Program compensation package has a standard sign-on and/or early incentive bonus; not applicable for discretionary bonuses) This position is eligible for a sign-on and/or early incentive bonus.

Overtime Eligibility (include if applicable for role): This position is overtime eligible.

Shift Differential Eligibility (include if applicable for role): This position is eligible for a shift differential.

Company Car Eligibility (include if applicable for role and use ONE of the two options below depending on whether a company car OR a car allowance will be provided): This position is eligible for a company car through the Company’s FLEET program. OR This position is eligible for a car allowance through the Company’s Fleet program.

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Qualifications

Requirements

  • 2 years of direct RN or tech patient support in an ICU highly preferred Direct patient support in a Cath Lab or OR.

  • Availability for emergent patient care.

  • Ability to travel 50% within territory.

  • Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry.

Preferred

  • Hands on Impella support experience.

  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.

  • Experience as an Abiomed per diem highly preferred.

  • RN License strongly preferred.

  • ECMO experience.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to advocate with physicians.

  • Experience delivering clinical training.

  • Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry.
