The Opportunity
Hyatt is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Global Sales Director on our Hyatt Sales Force Americas team who will focus on the growth and business development within our Luxury account portfolio and support our Luxury Portfolio with a focus on Park Hyatt and Alila brand. This is a unique opportunity for a global seller passionate about strategic management of accounts, planning of customer events and branded activations, hotel training and education, strategic approach to marketing plans, creative presentations, and working with a collaborative global team of sellers to achieve our organization's objectives through our Purpose of Care. This is a remote position based in North America. The Role
The primary responsibility of the Associate Global Sales Director includes developing strategic account plans to drive new revenue opportunities across a portfolio of qualified Luxury Accounts within the luxury and lifestyle segment. The associate director will be responsible for uncovering new business opportunities in the luxury and lifestyle segment that support Hyatt’s portfolio of brands and hotels worldwide, emphasizing our Luxury portfolio and New Openings in North America. Primarily, these accounts will be with travel agencies and niche luxury lifestyle concierge organizations, private club memberships, whilst cultivating revenue opportunities in private aviation and yacht arena. The Associate Director position includes total account management, handling both group and transient travel. This position will be responsible for developing and nurturing long term strategic global accounts/relationships with a focus on shifting market share as well as driving premium business and new customers to our portfolio of brands. New business development and brand awareness globally is also key to supporting our hotels through proactive sales missions, tradeshows/events, and hotel familiarization trips.
•Create and maintain strategic account/action plans for each account that will include: quota targets, customer engagement, key tactics to grow account revenue globally, annual & quarterly account reviews, promotions, and B2B marketing opportunities.
•Support key Luxury focus hotels in North America based on agreed priorities and anticipated business levels aligned to RGI metrics.
•Work closely with Hyatt Sales Force (HSF) colleagues to retain and expand HSF’s Key accounts.
•Pre-qualify and target Luxury Accounts in the assigned segment, utilizing analytics tools and prospecting strategies to develop appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase market share.
•Entertain potential and current customers based on business priorities, including the ability to travel and work off-peak hours.
•Ensure a high level of exposure through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, and written communications.
•Ensure that Sales Contracts follow established Policies and Procedures and are based on sound commercial judgment.
•Maintain an awareness of market developments/customer trends and the ability to present to internal stakeholders.
•Assist hotel representatives with customer engagement, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, targeted customer events, Sales Calls, and webinars.
•Ability to manage an event budget, communication and curate branded experiences for small groups and large events that are customer-facing.
•Attend industry events representing Hyatt through the organization’s principles and purpose and acting as a brand ambassador for our Luxury portfolio.
•Assist new Hotels to identify and acquire potential Accounts, with an emphasis on the Luxury segment.
•Help to organize and coordinate familiarization trips.
•Conduct Product Presentations to increase awareness with Key Accounts.
•Prepare Monthly Activities Report and Production Reports when needed.
•Very strong follow-up, organizational skills, and leadership skills.
•Must be a self-starter and capable of working independently in a fast-paced and relatively autonomous environment.
•Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with presenting both virtually and in person to every level within the organization, and externally to clients.
•Takes initiative and is a team player, personable, discreet, and reliable.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
•6-8 years of hotel sales experience
•Experience with Luxury Sales on property and/or above property
•Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills
•Excellent organizational skills
•Strong client relationships
•Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
•Strong knowledge and command of Envision, Lanyon, Cvent Transient, and Master Service Agreements where applicable
•Strong interpersonal skills and a can-do positive attitude
•Must be able to work remotely and independently from a home office
Experience Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree preferred
•Comprehensive knowledge of Hotels and Sales Practices
•Advanced Excel Knowledge

The salary range for this position is $95,500 to $110,000. This position is also eligible to qualify for the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP). The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
