Market Survey Process and Market Analysis
Under the guidance of the Senior Compensation Relationship Manager, coordinate and project manage the market data survey collection process. Includes timely preparation of the survey matching tools and working in partnership with Human Resources business partners to ensure job matching is completed and submitted on schedule, uploading survey submission data to the appropriate central technology database and managing appropriately.
Upload market data results into standard technology database and initiate market analysis through existing technology dataset. Review preliminary data results with more senior members of the Compensation team and validate the statistical integrity of the data. Prepare preliminary conclusions and recommendations and identify issues for consideration.
Variable Pay Funding and Forecasting, Base Pay Costing Analysis
Under the guidance of the Senior Compensation Relationship Manager and/or more senior members of the Compensation team, manipulate data and prepare funding/forecasting models using established models. Liaise with internal partners/resources (e.g., Finance, HR business partners) to ensure timely sharing of required information for analysis and reporting. Prepare preliminary funding results, provide observations and monitor all relevant funding and forecasting impacts including variance to plan. Review model with Senior Compensation Relationship Manager for respective banking group.
Undertake various scenarios of the annual base pay cost modeling for the respective banking group, as directed.
Provides compensation analytical support to the US Compensation Team. Supports the strategic direction, governance, program design and execution of compensation programs at BMO. Completes specific strategic & operational work to deliver program objectives and/or minimize risk.
Provides analytical support & recommends program solutions, including manipulating data, preparing funding & forecasting models, preparing scenarios, developing preliminary results and monitoring variances to plan for various total reward programs.
Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
Provides input into the planning & implementation of operational programs.
Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations. Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
Supports regulatory requests, including regulatory reporting, to ensure BMO meets regulatory requirements in applicable jurisdictions.
Participates in / coordinates industry benchmarking processes that allow for better understanding of BMO’s program in relation to comparators.
Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Undergraduate degree with 2-3 years analytical experience, preferably in Compensation/Human Resources, Finance or equivalent
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and PeopleSoft
Experience in statistical analysis and survey techniques
Experience with a market pricing tool
Innovative, creative, proactive self-starter, capable of managing complex multi-task assignments simultaneously
Solid analytical and communication skills
