Job Summary:
Join the Condition Monitoring Analytics team in Aftermarket Analytics organization of Cat Digital and be responsible for timely delivery of analytic products, overseeing complex projects from start to finish with stakeholder & risk management within budget. The main purpose for this role is to deliver high quality analytic products in dealer & customer facing digital applications while communicating timelines / milestones to higher level leadership.
What You Will Do:
Managing day-to-day activities of projects, including overseeing project responsibilities and schedules. Developing contingency plans for potential risks.
Maintaining stakeholder relationship to align on business goals while directing and motivating project team members.
Evaluating and managing deliverables to ensure that service expectations are achievable, developed, and met.
Monitoring project milestones & communicating results / progress for significant deviations ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes.
What You Will Have:
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Expert knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Project Administration: Extensive knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Expert knowledge of decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Data Gathering and Reporting: Working knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
Active Participation: Working knowledge of analytics to understand problem statement, recommend possible solution / alternatives for successful completion of projects while working with individual team members. Key contributor to maintain team morale & energy
Considerations for Top Candidates:
Typically, a College or University degree or certification that is equivalent in computer science, information systems, analytics or closely related disciplines. Top candidates will have a Master’s degree in related disciplines.
Typically, 7+ years of experience (or 5+ with Master’s) working with engineering / technical teams in an agile environment
Proven experience with Project Management concepts including Project Charters, Scheduling and Planning Projects and successful completion
Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop & mentor team members, influence others inside & outside the department for successful delivery of projects
Working knowledge of JIRA and Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS), Confluence
Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project
Strong communication and presentation skills
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification desirable
Knowledge of Power BI is highly desirable
PMP certification preferred
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred
Previous agile training (spring planning, daily scrums, sprint, retrospective)

Additional Information:
This position has the option to be based out of either our Chicago, IL; Peoria, IL or Champaign, IL offices with a flexible hybrid work environment.

Summary Pay Range:
$126,000.00 - $189,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
