Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of package development engineers and technicians, assuring design and delivery of packaging systems supporting new and legacy product development team needs. Assure delivery of robust, cost effective, fully compliant packaging solutions that meet current and evolving customers’ needs.

  • Evaluates new package concepts and technologies through innovative prototyping capabilities.

  • Responsible for the continuous improvements of packaging procedures and package testing standards.

  • Responsible for helping to identify and prioritize quality improvement and cost savings projects related to package design and development.

  • Drive consistent and robust corrective actions to resolve CAPAs, non-conformances, and audit findings while enabling knowledge sharing.

  • Lead troubleshooting in the resolution of packaging related issues in manufacturing and the field.

  • Ensure all global regulations and functional needs are anticipated, understood, and followed on a timely basis.

  • Develop and grow talent within the team. Build organizational capabilities in the areas of leadership, business sense, and technical skills.

  • Ensure sufficient resources are available to meet business objectives and that workloads are balanced across the team by using the business priorities.

  • Grow Technical competencies in packaging design, materials, equipment, and processes used in component and finished goods packaging processes.

  • Build upon Project Management expertise amongst the team.

  • Provide leadership to improve Six Sigma and Lean tools and skills.

  • Ensure that the correct supplier base is in place for successful project execution.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.A./B.S. in engineering or scientific field required, MBA or Advanced Degree Preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Requires 8 years of work experience

  • 5 years of people management

  • Proven people development skills and technical leadership

  • Must have prior experiencing in packaging

Preferred:

  • Medical Device Packaging experience is preferred

  • Certifications in six sigma or continuous improvement

  • Certifications or knowledge of project management methodologies such as Project Management Professional

Other:

  • English proficiency required

  • 25% Travel domestic and international

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $ 97,000 to $145,000

  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
