This position tests production batches according to specific written testing methods and identify issues of both in-spec and out-of-spec data. The technician will interpret results and historical data to ensure the product meets or exceeds the customer requirements for quality, as well as provide instructions to production personnel regarding adjustments to batches. What you will do: • Ensure all tests are completed and results meet all specifications before going to the next production process • Enter all batch data into the electronic batch records system • Generate appropriate paperwork as needed per the customer specifications • Gather and send customer samples as required • Utilize appropriate computer systems to ensure effective testing of products • Determine disposition of non-compliant finished goods, such as first case/last case • Place non-conforming material on hold • Support the ISO Management Systems and Safety Systems • Maintain inventory of lab supplies • Identify and communicate product issues to other departments as needed • Create, maintain, and update standard operating procedures for Quality Department to meet ISO requirements • Assist in training of other lab techs as needed Minimum Qualifications • Eighteen 18 years of age • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment work visa status • A high school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED) • Able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation • Ability to distinguish the difference between colors with or without reasonable accommodation Preferred Qualifications • Work or course work laboratory experience • Experience in a manufacturing environment • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
