Description:

The Tedlar® Unit is seeking an Area Leader at our Circleville, Ohio site to lead the production area. The Circleville site is one of two manufacturing locations for the production of Tedlar® polyvinyl film within DuPont.

Tedlar® is a polyvinyl film applied as the back sheet to solar cells to protect the module from weather, UV exposure, and moisture.

This Area Leader role has overall accountability and responsibility for all aspects of performance relating to Circleville’s Tedlar® Production Area, which includes mix, solvent recovery, casting, and finishing areas. The production schedule is 24 hours/day, 365 days of the year. The Role has leadership responsibilities for an organization of approx. 70 DuPont employees and 25 Resident Contractors with approx. 6 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides Felt Leadership on Core Values performance for the area, including ensuring regulatory compliance, and compliance with area/site safety rules and policies. Ensures PSM compliance in facility. This facility handles combustible solvents above the flashpoint and is considered a High Hazard Process.

• Provides leadership and daily direction for the area including daily production execution to plan.

• Establishes clear expectations with an overall high bar for performance and drives accountability and continuous improvement with the Line Organization.

• Drives continuous improvement in key production metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Yield, and Quality.

• Provides strategic leadership for the area including, but not limited to, core values advancement, organization design, capital roadmap, cost, productivity and quality improvement plans.

• Works effectively with Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Team to accomplish safe execution of daily maintenance tasks and area shutdowns.

• Interfaces with supply chain, commercial, and quality teams on customer facing issues such as production to schedule and product quality.

• Coaches and develops direct reports and cultivates atmosphere of learning and development in the broader Team.

• Responsible for monthly cost outlooking and annual PO building for appropriate production cost centers and the execution against both the monthly cost outlooks and yearly budget.

• Leads and coordinates projects with cross functional teams to drive improvements in area performance including OpEx elements.

• Works collaboratively with the Tedlar® Leadership team and the Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and MT functions to successfully deliver on business requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering science or equivalent

• 3-5 years of Manufacturing leadership or equivalent experience

• Leading work teams in alignment with DuPont Core values in a servant leader model

• Demonstrated track record of driving change, elevating performance and consistently delivering results

• Experience driving key production metrics (Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Yield, Quality, etc.)

• Strong understanding and demonstrated commitment to operational discipline and Process Safety Management

• Effective communication skills
