As a Senior Engineer (internally known as Design Engineering Specialist) with machine systems integration responsibility, you will have the opportunity to direct and contribute to the detailed design, development, and validation of the Small Track-Type Tractors (STTT) designed in Clayton, NC and built in Athens, GA. This position will work New Product Introduction (NPI) and Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) projects and play a key role in concept, design, and validation of the electronic system and software architecture. The position will be responsible for delivering customer value through integrating electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and validate electrical system architecture and specifications.

  • Develop and validate machine level software specifications and requirements.

  • Identification and support development of electrical hardware components to introduce in NPI or CPI.

  • Concept and rapid prototype software and component systems to deliver on machine customer value.

  • Support and provide STTT customer voice to projects delivering off machine customer value (digital commercial/retail initiatives).

  • Design and validation for CPI projects related to software and electrical system architecture.

  • Factory support during pilot builds, production ramp up, and production.

  • Develop in-process validation (IPV) strategy for machine systems for factory and field troubleshooting and service.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Degree requirement : Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum.

  • Computer Aided Design & Engineering: Expertise in electrical components, controls, and machine software. Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and deliver component and software integration projects.

  • Effective Communication : Strong organization, communication, and technical leadership skills. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team (internal and external) to develop optimized machine level solutions.

  • Analytical Thinking : Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability.

  • Work experience in following:

  • electrical hardware design and development.

  • machine software development.

  • emerging technologies and application in heavy equipment industry.

Additional Info :

  • Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.

  • 10-20% domestic travel is expected.

  • ISE assignments are not available.
