Description
As an assembly planner, you are responsible for keeping routings updated and supporting changes to assembly processes. Additional job responsibilities included:
Provide tooling support to Small Wheel Loader (SWL) assembly lines as needed
Develop and maintain standard work instructions for production
Champion lean manufacturing principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement, Waste Elimination and Standard Work
Rely on independent decision making and problem-solving skills to complete job task
Ability to meet commitments
Ability to multitask and prioritize work
Use Engineering prints and release notices to develop production operation sequence and documents in routing system
Develop and modify factory layouts utilizing CAD systems
Analyze production data to help eliminate process waste
Utilize systems such as Pro Planner, SAP, VI and ATRS
Communicate between cross functional assembly work groups to complete assigned tasks
Provide project summaries to leadership
Contributing team member
Basic Qualifications
Two years of related experience in engineering or manufacturing support
Small wheel loader assembly experience
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Top Candidates will also have
Two year technical / engineering or equivalent degree (Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year college degree program at a junior level status is considered equivalent to a 2-year degree)
Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Advanced problem solving and trouble shooting ability
Ability to multitask and prioritize work
Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Caterpillar systems
Additional Information
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: M-Th 6 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Work location: Clayton, NC

Summary Pay Range:
$26.37 - $32.96
