Client Accounts Collections Representative will provide high performance level services to our clients. It is necessary to have an individual with stellar analytical skills, collection abilities, and account management experience to ensure that our largest payor group's collections improve without sacrificing the quality of services we have provided in the past.

The Client Accounts Collections Representative will be responsible for maintaining industry standards for the Client Billing A/R they are assigned to in regard to aging, collection rates, corrections and invoices with no activity. This position will also post adjustments as needed and responsible for the follow up on all outstanding invoices. The position will work the aging reports as directed by the A/R Manager, and be responsible for lowering A/R over 90 days to acceptable standards. This position is also responsible for timely follow-up with internal and external customers. Supports and adheres to all policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily follow up on all outstanding client invoices.

  • Generation and submission of all client invoices.

  • Pricing reviews, audits, and corrections.

  • Work with supervisors to streamline billing procedures and enhancements to the overall client billing process.

  • Posting payments.

  • Correcting EP errors on daily basis

  • Review accounts that have partial or under payments.

  • Prepare spreadsheets on all client billing related activities.

  • Handle correspondence from internal and external customers regarding the client billed revenue.

  • Handle incoming calls from internal and external customers

  • Handle high volume incoming email requests related to client accounts with a turnaround time of 24-48 hours

  • Review accounts to determine if billed correctly.

  • Treats patients and co-workers consistent with the Med Fusion Mission Statement, Vision, Values and Performance Standards.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company policy

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or Higher)

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare collections setting.

  • 3+ years of experience with client accounts collections

  • Knowledge of Hospital billing regulations such as OPPS and IPPS

  • Knowledge of Federal, state and HIPAA privacy regulations

  • Intermediate Level Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word (ability to create, edit, save and send), Microsoft Outlook (ability to create, edit, save, and send), and Microsoft Excel (ability to create, filter, sort, tables)

  • You will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's USTelecommuting Policy

  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app,Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) orsimilar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealthGroup building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition,employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

  • Ability to work with client account managers to ensure accounts are setup according to their negotiated contract rates

  • Strong cognitive skills including analysis, problem solving, high attention to detail, and decision making

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members to support data quality and integrity initiatives

  • Ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently within established timeframes

  • Ability to multi-task, establish and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot and recommend root cause solutions to problems

  • Above average organizational and time management skills

  • Must understand the importance of month-end attendance in order to successfully meet deadlines generating/delivery of all client statements
