Abiomed, a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for an Region Director to cover the Great Lakes territory. The ideal candidate will be located in Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH; or Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives

  • Lead/manage the Region Clinical Manager, collaborating with them on the direction and development of the region clinical consultant team members

  • Directs the sales performance in specified region

  • Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance

  • Develop strategies for launching new accounts and greater penetration in existing accounts

  • Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales

  • Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects

  • Collaborate with cross functional departments within the organizations in order to support region growth

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BS or advanced degree, MBA Preferred

  • 5 years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space

  • 5 years of management experience of a field commercial team or 2 of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience

  • Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members; exhibits ability to lead a diverse team with strong emotional intelligence

  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external

  • Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment

  • Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

  • Ability to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and written)
