Pfizer Director, US XTANDI Consumer Marketing in Collegeville, Pennsylvania

The US Prostate Cancer Business is one of the largest and fastest growing businesses within Pfizer. It is anchored by a multibillion-dollar asset in XTANDI.

The XTANDI Consumer Marketing Director is a critical role on the team with a focus on consumer marketing and execution of our omnichannel patient activation campaign, including DTC TV. This role will lead the development of patient strategies, messaging, targeting and tactics with the Alliance consumer team. With consumer media behaviors quickly shifting, this colleague will work with the creative and media agency to explore new channels and innovative approaches to reach our patients.

This role will oversee important patient education initiatives with the goal of empowering patients to be part of their treatment choices. Working with real patients will be an important element for gathering insights as well as developing authentic content for the marketing mix.

This is a unique opportunity to impact the lives of patients living with metastatic Hormone Sensitive Prostate Cancer (mHSPC), non-metastatic Castrate Resistant Prostate Cancer (nmCRPC) and metastatic Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC). The role requires strong strategic, communication and analytical thinking as well as creativity, judgment, and decision-making skills.

With a strong lifecycle plan and expanding patient population, XTANDI is a critical asset in the Oncology portfolio, delivering significant and growing revenues after 9 years in the market. As part of the growing Prostate Cancer franchise, this role offers the opportunity to be part of a quickly expanding team, experiencing multiple launches up close.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evolve and optimize XTANDI's omnichannel DTC creative campaign, leading creative development, messaging evolution and production. Lead potential OPDP submissions.

  • Co-own the media strategy and plan across all channels including TV, radio, print, digital and innovation.

  • Oversee performance metrics of patient activation activities and make recommendations to optimize real time.

  • Provide regular senior leader updates on direct-to-consumer strategies, tactics, and performance.

  • Transform the brand's digital strategy to not only support the DTC patient activation strategy but also build longer lasting consumer marketing relationships with patients on therapy 2x-3x longer than before.

  • Lead the XTANDI Ambassador program, recruiting new patients and working with existing patients on patient support tactics.

  • Lead patient education efforts, ensuring that digital and printed pieces fulfill the needs of our patients and customers.

  • Identify how best to evolve the existing unbranded patient education platform in a way that drives patient education across multiple indications.

  • Lead the development and implementation of the consumer tactical plans in the areas of innovative promotion and patient support services.

  • Evolve messaging based on new insights, and partner with HCP team to ensure cohesive message across customers.

  • Understand the perspective of the evolving competitive marketplace and develop consumer brand strategies and tactics that will cut through the clutter and help drive patient demand for XTANDI.

  • Partner with Corporate Affairs, Gov't Relations, and/or Advocacy to develop programs in support of Prostate Cancer patients.

  • Co-own the patient marketing and media agency relationships as well as the consumer marketing budget with Alliance partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience with 7+ years commercial/marketing experience, including 2+ years of consumer marketing

  • US pharma experience

  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with ability to obtain and evaluate data to identify insights and develop effective strategies & tactics based on these insights

  • Ability to navigate internal organization/ processes to achieve endorsement of innovative approaches

  • Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes across diverse functional boundaries, even without direct reporting relationships

  • Ability to demonstrate a One Pfizer approach and work effectively and collaboratively in a team-based environment with internal/external stakeholders

  • BA/BS - degree required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Oncology experience preferred with understanding of how Oncology account customers are organized

  • DTC TV experience preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Copromote experience is a plus
