THE WORK
The candidate will act as the Deputy Solution Chief and project engineer in decomposing system requirements into work packages (develop epics and features) and coordinate planning with various ART leadership on the planning and execution of work. Additionally, this person coordinates meetings to clearly define the definition of done or scope of the effort during development and ensures execution to meet milestones.
This position will be responsible for assisting in building project plans to assure requirements are being met based on resource availability. This person would participate in increment program planning to identify infrastructure project dependencies and need dates to support installation of software and hardware. The candidate will work with the MDA customer to set and modify program priorities and to manage the operational baselined system.
The candidate will work closely with the OM&S Task Order Program Manager and Solution Chief to manage, coordinate, and oversee the efforts associated with OM&S contract proposals, project implementation, and system modifications. The candidate will support the planning and execution of technical scope, schedule, and cost inputs for contractual deliverables, task instructions, and other projects as directed by the customer and program leadership.
This individual will also support development of an IMS, regular status reporting on IMS tasks for EVM accounting, and will support de-confliction with other task orders and release trains to achieve OM&S objectives. Ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate has previous experience with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), C2BMC system, or similar command and control (C2) systems.
- Previous experience on a complex development and sustainment program and familiarity with related engineering disciplines -- systems engineering, software development, networks, cybersecurity, fielding, etc.
- Earned Value Management expertise and proven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee cross functional efforts associated with both development and sustainment lifecycle management with an emphasis on deployment activities.
- Extensive project management experience.
- Experience planning and managing projects in an Agile framework.
Desired Skills:
- Advanced degree and 12+ years of experience or bachelors degree and 14+ years of experience.
-Background in Project Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management.
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Prior leadership experience with demonstrated proficiency in technical experience with global command and control networked computer system leading projects or program management
- Experience in complete program development life cycle to include emerging digital development environments
-Able to excel when information is ambiguous or sparse
- Will function in a product manager role with the ability to process development skills including vision/strategy generation and execution
- Possess the ability to communicate to internal and external customers, leaders, and development teams.
- Additionally, the candidate would have experience in the either/both the DoD Space or Missile Defense sectors as well as agile development processes.
- Demonstrates the aptitude to develop and lead deployment projects supporting Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) activities for the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) system.
- Experience supporting contract proposals and creating comprehensive bids to capture project scope, schedule, and cost.
- Familiarity with baselining projects to create an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and providing Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting against planned tasks.
- Ability to identify/define issues or areas for improvement and develop technical approaches to solve complex problems by leveraging the expertise of cross functional engineering teams.
- Process improvement oriented with the ability to develop strategic approaches to prioritize and manage work.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
