Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an exceptional Senior Scheduler for an exciting opportunity to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN) as the Lead Sustainment Manager for the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract located in Colorado Springs, CO. The objective of the DSLM contract is to sustain and modernize the Data Transmit (Tx) and Receive (Rx) Network (DTRN) as part of the Battle Management Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) organization within Space Systems Command (SSC). The DSLM effort provides sustaining, maintaining, and logistics support for the operational capability to transfer data for the purpose of providing highly reliable and secure telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites, as well as the future sustainment, maintenance, and logistics of other DTRN programs at the appropriate phase.

DSLM primarily supports the SCN. The SCN is a global network of Radio Frequency (RF) antennas, complex signal processing and routing communications equipment and computer systems that support a growing inventory of increasingly complex space vehicles which support operational forces in peace and wartime. It is designed to have the flexibility to support a wide spectrum of orbiting satellites. Many satellites with various altitudes and orbit inclinations are supported on a 24-hours per day, 7-days a week schedule.

The Scheduler will collaborate with the PM, Financial Analyst, and DSLM divisions. The Scheduler will support the PM and Division Leads in successfully scheduling, integrating and coordinating activities to achieve mission and contract performance, schedule and cost requirements. The Scheduler will maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that tracks current data on program progress. The program schedule, maintained within the IMS, shall contain all control points (milestones), identify interdependency data on IMS milestones and mission scheduling to assist the Government in deconflicting mission and project priorities. The Scheduler shall establish the IMS baseline within 90 calendar days of each contract modification, to allow tracking of all program slippages that may occur.

The Scheduler shall implement deconfliction resolutions between the Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) schedule, project schedules and the operations schedule. The Scheduler will collaborate and understand various projects/efforts, issues, and work with the PM, and DSLM Division leads regarding DSLM reporting requirements. Strong organizational skills and collaboration is required across these functional areas. This position will be a Senior level position responsible for all scheduling. A person with 6 - 10 years of experience is needed to provide the talent to execute the mission.

The Scheduler will be responsible for all Scheduling Activities (PWS 3.1.1.4):

  • Maintain a Master Schedule (PWS 3.1.1.4)

  • Education and Experience Level: Minimum: HS 10 , AA 8 , BS 6 , MS 6 , PhD 4 experience with schedule management. Excellent Microsoft skills in particular, word, excel, PowerPoint, adobe acrobat, project and JIRA.

  • Knowledge - Applies extensive risk management expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Competency in Financial and Accounting principles, theories, practices, concepts, systems, and tools coupled with broad work experience. Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Hyperion, Excel advanced formulas, and DOD preferred.

  • Contacts - Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.

  • Problem Solving - Develops solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Ability to perform and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $87700 - $149100

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
