Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and is part of 220 acre campus shared with the Country Club of Colorado. Featuring 316 guestrooms, 40,000 sq ft. of dedicated meetings and events space, and an array of distinctive dining venues, the property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000 commensurate with experience
Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate leader for F&B operations at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. This individual is expected to run a well-functioning department by leading dedicated colleagues to care for our members and guests through attentive and authentic service. At Cheyenne Mountain Resort, we strive to improve our operation through experimentation and empathy. The F&B Manager will live our values and develop the team as we look to reach even higher levels of success. The position will support with oversight of the entire F&B experience, bringing new and creative ideas to retain and attract business, and lead a team of approximately 40 colleagues in season. They will work closely with the culinary team to deliver memorable experiences for our guests and members.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
· Short- and long-term planning for the department areas of focus, including financial success, and customer and colleague satisfaction
· Support with the budget, marketing plans, programming and objectives for all F&B outlets
· Maintain Hyatt standards of service and ensure consistency in the guest experience
· Hire, train, empower, and develop colleagues and direct reports
· Oversee payroll, scheduling, productivity, reporting, forecasts, inventory, and budget for areas of responsibility
· Assist with maintaining cost controls through assessing F&B offerings, mitigating food waste, managing the labor budget and ensuring profitability of F&B programming
· Address questions and requests as appropriate to maintain a high level of member and guest satisfaction and quality
· Implement procedures to increase guest and colleague satisfaction
· Exercise quality control for both food and beverage
· Ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations, local State regulations and Hyatt standards
· Establish, maintain, and develop processes and procedures to grow outlet performance
· Floor presence is a requirement during service
· Coordinate food and beverage operations with other Resort departments to ensure efficient guest service
· Resolve guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of satisfaction and quality
· Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedure
Qualifications:
· 3 years or more of progressive hotel F&B management experience in a similar Resort setting
· Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people
· Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
· Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
· Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
· Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
· Experience in implementing new food & beverage concepts
