Overall responsibility for facility management including all communications with facilities team. Full responsibility for managing vendors and all communications regarding our partnership and business arrangements for the facility. You will manage the department budget and ensure all proper accounting codes are used. You will ensure that all the compliance and quality requirements are met.

The Lead will manage the overall education logistics team based at the site. This includes performance reviews, alignment on goals and objectives, personal development plans and the execution of all required training. You will provide operational direction to the contractor team and deliver LEAN initiatives and other programs that drive efficiencies.


  • Assign projects and evaluating capacity plan in partnership with Supervisors to determine appropriate staffing levels based on course/workshop schedules.

  • Establish and manage budget to include equipment replenishment, facilities, utilities, supplies, outside services, T&E, etc.

  • Lead and direct the forecasting, analysis, planning, and replenishment for product and expensed inventory for all aspects of Ed Logistics.

  • Collaborate with Finance on physical inventory reconciliation and variance reports. Leads team to improved inventory management based on results.

  • Establish and manage controls to maintain product descriptions, new part numbers, obsolete numbers for all fixed assets and expensed items.

  • Develop and maintain Education Logistics’ Training Manual for training new employees and contractors.

  • Maintain an independent “Inventory Management System” for the allocation of sets and equipment to prevent inventory over-commitments.

  • Provide ongoing feedback on performance and assigns developmental opportunities for individuals.

  • Lead negotiations with transportation companies and customs brokers on service agreements and contracts including freight for imports and exports for all modes of transportation.

  • Primary liaison for internal/external stakeholders to ensure efficiency and inventory accuracy for professional education, demo/display equipment and onsite logistics.

  • Maintain accurate International procedures, and proper training of employees on Customs requirements, BIS/AES certification and compliance controls.

  • Manage the reduction of Loss Control costs by visibility, training and assessment of Safety needs.

  • Oversee compliance and timely training of all employees on any required documentation including but not limited to FDA/GMP and ISO 9001 & ISO 13485.

  • Initiate and implement inventory reduction programs through initiating asset disposals (AD) of obsolete inventory.

  • Approve all purchase orders and service agreements.

  • Oversee up-to-date training of Education Logistics personnel on applicable policies and procedures.

  • Promote and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and compliance, and actively support our compliance program-related initiatives and activities.

  • Evaluate and resolve difficult equipment/logistics challenges for prompt resolution and improvements.




  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience within distribution in a high volume fast paced environment is required

  • Strong inventory control systems experience and import/export compliance experience is required.

  • Management, direct and/or indirect, experience is required

  • May require up to 20% travel including weekends


  • Knowledge and previous systems experience in Distribution utilizing ERP systems Allocation/Reservation Systems is preferred

  • Inventory Reduction Programs experience; sound knowledge of financial (FASB) controls, Costing/Budget Controls, and Analytical experience preferred.

  • Assembly/Kitting with BOMs & Phantom BOMs experience preferred.

  • APICS or CSCMP professional affiliation experience preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft’s Outlook, Excel, Word, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Proven ability to interact as liaison with associates and management.

  • Experience with managing multiple projects at once, and can coordinate and prioritize in a successful manner.

  • Strong customer service attitude.

The pay range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000 annually. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
