Basic Qualifications:

THE WORK

In this important role, you will:

• Plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network as a Network Development Engineer.

• Be responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.

• Effectively communicate with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.

• Work in a collaborative Agile environment, contributing to C2BMC network products and features spanning the entire development lifecycle.

Please Note:

• The position requires a government security clearance (DoD Secret – minimum, Top Secret - desired); you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

• The position is based at a LM facility in Colorado Springs, CO in the long-term, however, this role must be able to travel to alternate work locations, such as Schriever Space Force Base, Alaska, Guam, Europe, etc., to execute job duties such as deployments.

• The position requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (i.e. EE, CIS, CPE, MIS, IT), or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.

• The position requires an IAT Level II (8570) Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.

Desired Skills:

WHO YOU ARE

You are a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies. You enjoy network engineering and problem solving. You thrive and do your best work in a collaborative and agile environment.

You are well-versed in the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF. You know how to conduct network traffic analysis with diagnostic and troubleshooting experience. You know network firewalls - especially Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto. You have solid knowledge in UDP multicast, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs. You have hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment. You understand standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts. You have familiarization with virtualization technologies - NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Aria. You have experience with network automation using Ansible. You have prior C2BMC experience.

A level 3 employee is typically mid-career and has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
