At the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) is a very fast paced and dynamic environment looking for a Systems Engineer to join the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team.

The successful System Engineer in this role will have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice.

- Focus on supporting the development and review of interface documents, system/subsystem requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews

- Provide use case briefing development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department

- Perform the work under the direction of the Systems Engineering Lead, various product owners and require interfacing with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high quality products are generated on time and within the resources available

Additionally, responsibilities include:

- Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis

- Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning, statusing, and agile team leadership

Basic Qualifications:

•An active final secret clearance is needed prior to starting

•Must possess an understanding of systems engineering process and principles

•Should have a proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions

•Experience in decomposing requirements from parent level requirements to lower system/subsystem level requirements

•Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., Interface Control Documents, Use Cases Briefings, Sequence Diagrams, etc.)

•Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions

•Must be able to write and implement engineering plans within a project

Desired Skills:

•Experience working within an Agile development environment

•Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings

•Relevant experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems development life cycle

•Demonstrated contributions to implementation that includes the ability to analyze high level needs and defined a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that led to a fielded product

•Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and have experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
