The Advanced Practice Solutions Manager is responsible for innovative solutions to address complex patient concerns surrounding critical care and acute heart failure management. Utilizing an outcomes-based philosophy developed in tandem with area leadership, this person ​is responsible for partnering with area commercial and training teams to impact patient management across the continuum of care. This will include strategy development to address identification, escalation, and weaning criteria for critically ill patients with acute heart failure that may require or benefit from temporary MCS. This role will coordinate, implement, and execute external education to critical care teams with a focus on Advanced Practice Providers. This position is responsible for proactively managing key partner relationships to strengthen overall healthcare solution capabilities. This position will provide provider/facility adoption direction, system training, workflow development, and support to the healthcare team and field clinical team. This role will collaborate cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Training and Product Development to provide feedback for improved customer experience and optimize implementation processes. In addition, this role will act as a subject matter expert, both internally and externally, as well as develop, lead and/or facilitate training with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform needs-based assessments at area level; utilize results to drive practice adoption strategies that improve patient outcomes.

  • Develop high level clinical education content targeted at meeting knowledge deficits in critical care and acute heart failure.

  • Serve as resource and consultant in collaboration with area, region, and franchise teams as well PPDs and TAMs to bolster clinical expertise at the patient management level to area initiatives.

  • Align with the commercial marketing teams for development of resources needed for professional education including self-directed, in-person, and virtual avenues.

  • Collaborate with global training department to drive continuous improvement with content development for external customer needs.

  • Participate in symposia, conference and events in which APPs are key stakeholders.

  • Performance measurement/ data analytics with integration of novel strategies to assess patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Masters’ degree is required, Advanced Practitioner such as CNS, NP, PA, or equivalent experience required

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience required

  • Experience in project management, performance improvement, and process improvement across hospital’s or IDN’s preferred

  • Adaptability and ability to efficiently multi-task and meet deadlines thoughtfully in a fast-paced environment is required

  • Experience leading and executing the coordination of programs/projects, with strong project management skills is required

  • Outstanding verbal and written, analytical/problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity presenting on and explaining projects

  • Medical device/Industry experience preferred

  • Must be self-reliant; takes initiative; results-oriented, open minded and approachable

  • Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures

  • Requires a minimum of 50% travel

The base compensation for the role is between $113,000 - $195,500. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
