The Opportunity

This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Millions of people around the world count on our leading brands – including Similac®, PediaSure®, Pedialyte®, Ensure®, and Glucerna® – to help them get the nutrients they need to live their healthiest lives.

As the Pedialyte Brand Manager of Delivery will be responsible for driving demand focusing on the HCP and Sports channel. This includes setting the strategy for these channels, executing that strategy including creative development, budget management, and measuring results. This person will also be responsible for forecasting supporting the LBE (latest best estimate) process including HCP, trade and media forecasts partnering with Sr. Brand Manager and peers, Finance and Commercial Analytics.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead HCP Marketing for Pedialyte brand including strategy, developing field sales and patient aids and kits, and sampling and coupon execution in partnership with HCP Sales and HCP Marketing

  • Lead Sports Strategy defining the role of sports/exercise for the Pedialyte brand, developing go-to market plan to drive sales and relevancy in the sports space including type and level of sport, and executing this plan

  • Forecast and measure impact of HCP and Sports channels to understand impact to business and optimize plans for future

  • Partner with Finance and Commercial Analytics on LBE (latest best estimate) process to develop consumption forecast with ownership of media and trade forecast modeling working hand in hand with peers on inputs

  • Participate in the development of business plans, identify areas of concern, and modify marketing programs to address changes in the marketplace.

  • Assess potential market expansion opportunities such as new distribution channels as well as competitive threats, inclusive of and beyond, HCP and Sport

  • Present brand and marketing programs to Sr. Management inclusive of strategy, execution and measurement plan

  • Manage budget monthly with direct input to forecast models and financial decisions

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives. These groups may include the Field Sales teams, Retail Sales Teams, Commercial Operations, Commercial Analytics, Logistics, Deployment, Supply Chain, Quality, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Public Affairs, Legal, R&D, Sr. Leaders, Global Abbott Partners and external vendors or agencies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of brand management or marketing experience. Preferred experience in healthcare or food and beverage industry

  • Time and project management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • An ability to think strategically and develop annual plans and financial commitments

  • An understanding of trends and an ability to respond to changing customer needs

  • Creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas; Intellectual curiosity

  • The ability to manage and allocate budgets

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with and an understanding of market research and data

  • Sales experience a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of media planning and buying a plus

The base pay for this position is $97,300.00 – $194,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
