The Opportunity
This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division .
MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The CAPA Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the CAPA process for the Columbus Pilot Plant. They are responsible for ensuring timely opening of Nonconformance records when appropriate, for determining impact levels of events, and ensuring timely investigation and closure of records. Additionally, the CAPA Coordinator will handle second turn release of finished product, and control charting of laboratory equipment.
What You’ll Work On
Lead and manage the CAPA process for the Columbus Pilot Plant
Lead the weekly CAPA Review Board meetings for the site
Collaborate with Operations, Facilities, Maintenance, and other groups as necessary to ensure investigations result in root cause and effective Corrective Actions
Perform second turn release of finished product
Manage routine control charting for laboratory equipment
Attend Pre-Run reviews as a key Quality contact
Ensure Deviations are entered and approved in the Abtraq system when necessary
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science; Engineering; or closely related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Good written and oral communication skills to ensure effective and succinct communication with staff at all levels of the organization
Better Process Control School (BPCS) Certification or ability to obtain
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 yrs experience in Quality, Food Manufacturing or related field experience preferred.
Experience with root cause analysis tools.
Demonstrates basic understanding of regulatory requirements in the food industry.

The base pay for this position is $66,700.00 – $133,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
