R2P Tax Reporting Lead (Remote)

What You Will Do

R2P Tax Reporting and Escheat management lead, NA will be responsible for ensuring alignment to and compliance with defined Source to Settle related Accounts Payable (A/P) operational processes & policies. The lead will execute various Regional/Local tax compliance process management and operational requirements including IRS 1099/1042 withholding process management, Escheat/Unclaimed Property process coordination and compliance reporting support (where applicable).

This position requires regular communication to internal and external customers, proposals to R2P management for AP Analyst process improvement solutions, and ad-hoc report development for R2P related project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Reporting

Conduct indirect tax operational process reporting management for IRS 1099/1042 annual reporting & payment withholding compliance. Communicate IRS B notices to suppliers out of compliance. Coordinate with J&J Tax department on annual compliance & reporting requirement changes and implement into tax audit supporting processes.

§ CA forms T4A and T4A-NR

§ PR forms 480.6

o Create Tax Exemption Certificates

o Manage 3rd party provider assisting with this process

o IRS Tin Verification

o Manual Payments Wire and ACH Approver/Releaser

o Payment withholding tax reporting

Manage US Escheatment Process

• Manage the Escheat activities, including the supporting research, supplier and Kenvue affiliate communication coordination, and annual compliance reporting to government authorities.

o Escheatment is the process of identifying properties that have been abandoned or unclaimed after a dormancy period (3-5years) specified by state law and remitting the funds to the appropriate state.

§ Scope includes all unclaimed Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, or other disbursements that have been identified, researched, and finally written off to the escheat liability account.

Manage US Unclaimed Property Recovery Process

• This is the flip side of escheatment

• Partner with third party vendors to review various state websites to see what is available for Kenvue and process claims to get the refund payment

Business Partnering and Management of 3rd Parties

• Manage service delivery provided by 3rd parties to ensure meeting SLA’s, driving continuous improvement, meeting internal compliance and legal/regulatory requirements

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.

• A minimum of 5-7 years of related experience is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in tax operational process reporting management for VAT/IRS 1099/1042 annual reporting & payment withholding.

• Demonstrated experience with data analysis is required.

• Strong written and oral communication skills with the demonstrated ability to interact with various levels of the organization are required.

• Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are required.

• Potential travel to other Kenvue locations within the region up to 5-10% is required

Desired Qualifications

• C.P.M./CPSM certification is preferred

• 1-3 years of managing Escheat/Unclaimed property is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated effectively working remotely with business partners is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills are preferred.

• Strong SAP software and Ariba Buyer software experience is preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Procurement & Finance/Accounting processes (Requisitioning, PO, Invoicing, General Ledger) is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in contributing to high performing teams is preferred.

• Ideal candidate will preferably have a big-picture orientation and an appreciation to assess impact to the global R2P processes and be able to deliver results within short timeframes.

• Preferably be a self-starter with the ability to effectively plan, coordinate, and deliver results with minimal guidance.
