Job Description

As the Rebate Negotiator Principal here at Prime Therapeutics you will support and manage the generation, negotiation, and execution of rebate agreements between Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, State Medicaid Programs and/or the company. Collaborates cross functionally to accomplish timely and accurate completion of manufacturer rebate contracts and product review cycles. Ensure client contractual obligations are met and present rebate negotiations performance on required cadence to the client.

You will conduct rebate negotiations and interface with manufacturers to clarify bids and/or contract provisions. You will also Interface with client representatives, as needed to ensure that the client's position/strategy is reflected in negotiations.

Your role will manage work plans to implement agreed upon strategic direction for the pharmacy rebate programs.

As the principal you will respond to State or Manufacturer requests for contract modifications in coordination with the supplemental rebate contract director.

You will develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal departments, State Medicaid Programs, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and works in concert with other teams to respond to changing or emerging system initiatives.

As the rebate negotiator principal you will identify on-going training and development opportunities to support continuous improvement and exceptional customer service, including being responsible for implementation and team members' compliance with audit procedures.

You will also develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each process. You will provide oversight and direction for contract tracking, execution, rate generation, reporting, and deliverables processes.

As needed, you will actively participate in RFP re-bid processes, participate in internal and external audits and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree

  • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the State where the position is located

  • Work experience in rebate negotiations

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
