What does a successful Sales Executive do?

You will be responsible for building a strategic relationship with senior leaders leading to the acquisition of new clients across Fiserv products and solutions. To be successful you must have a consistent track record of opening new accounts and driving complex solutions sales and revenue growth. The Sales Executive will need to align prospects vision and requirements with our solutions portfolio to deliver differentiated customer value. As the strategic advisor to the client, you are required to have an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, goals, strategies as well as industry trends and directions.

What you will do:

  • Drive sales and demand generation activity to build pipeline to achieve sales quotas and line of business sales objectives.

  • Establish a regular cadence of communication with clients at all levels and disciplines by effectively articulating the Fiserv value proposition.

  • Lead multiple opportunities concurrently in various stages of the selling cycle that will identify, execute, and close new business following sales process methodology.

  • Understand and execute pipeline, forecasting, and commit to purchase process with high degree of accuracy accelerating time to revenue.

  • Build a territory plan, work that plan, evaluate, and revise as required to maximize business opportunity. Lead and develop account strategies including growth plans, budget, and project timelines.

  • Develop a business case and presentation of client proposal with a solution, financial justification and expected results to overcome objections and win the business with maximum revenue/margin.

  • Ensures proactive accountability to the client leading to enhanced client experience. Be able to elevate and bring to closure client issues quickly and effectively with a sense of urgency.

  • Collaborates across the organization to ensure client needs are being met.

  • Build Account Plans for aspirational clients and new cross sales opportunities. Understand clients’ needs and requirements while selling the value of the Fiserv solutions.

  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms leveraging appropriate deal review processes and working closely with relationship management on cross sales opportunities.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of work, education, and military experience.

  • 5 years of experience in sales and/or business development roles with successful demonstrated performance against quota for multiple years.

What would be great to have:

  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships at a very senior level with clients gaining trusted advisor status.

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Experience in technology software or services sales to large accounts.

  • Prior experience of successfully working in a dynamic, matrix environment.

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of solution selling. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships at a very senior level with clients gaining trusted advisor status.

  • Prior knowledge of Fiserv and former First Data product offerings.

  • MBA preferred.

Travel Required: Ability to travel approximately 60%.

Product

  • In this role, the candidate will sell/ cross sell solutions into new prospects and existing client relationships. Product coverage includes solutions within Global Omnichannel Payment Solutions, Security & Fraud, Money Network, Gift, B2B and Biller Solutions.

  • The candidate will have responsibility for cultivating relationships internally and externally to facilitate new sales growth with our largest, most strategic clients. This candidate will need to represent and drives sales with clients in their assigned vertical and geography. The candidate will be responsible for driving product penetration to maximize revenue from each individual client within their portfolio.

  • In this role, the candidate will collaborate with key external and internal stake holders including c-suite leadership, vertical sales leaders, Account Management, Card Production, Relationship Management, solution consultants, Product SME’s, Finance, and legal partners.

  • Other: Deep payment industry knowledge, ability to navigate complex sales cycle, and sell into large enterprise clients.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
