Job Description

At Electronic Systems, you ll be among the brightest minds, working on the aerospace and defense industry s most difficult problems.

We are looking for candidates for our 2022 Quality Engineering Internships to support a wide range of Quality functions, implement tools and processes to ensure product or services meets the standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. This will include the entire program life cycle (Proposal, Design, Supply Chain, and Production). You must be a self-starting problem solver who will utilize your analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues. Strong communication skills are essential to understand requirements and expectations, make progress reports and present findings.

Intern Responsibilities:

  • Support validation activities for manufacturing and test equipment to ensure zero defects

  • Build and optimize data analysis tools and work instructions

  • Perform and Evaluate First Article Inspections per the requirements of AS9102

  • Communicate effectively with manager

  • Participate in intern activities and informational sessions

  • Develop understanding of BAE Systems Quality Management System

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree and on course to graduate in 2024 in a field including (but not limited to):

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Industrial Engineering

  • Systems Engineering

  • Management Engineering

  • Quality Management

  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

  • Outstanding communication skills

  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership experience

  • Capacity and motivation for hard work

  • Experience in defense electronics industry

  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma practices

  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems

  • Relevant quality certifications

  • Technical internships/co-ops
