3M is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for the Film and Materials Resource Division (FMRD) Chemical Process Development Center located in Cottage Grove. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Analyst will have supply chain responsibility for assigned commodities within the Film and Materials Resource Division Chemical Process Development Center. Prototype quantities of new materials are made here and new processes are demonstrated in support of new and improved products for many 3M divisions.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan and execute supply chain related activities to achieve business and corporate goals.

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate assigned process area(s) to meet customer demands.

  • Procure materials from both internal and external suppliers to support the manufacturing schedule.

  • Manage inventory to maintain appropriate levels utilizing corporate supply chain tools.

  • Analyze capacity to determine equipment loading, resource requirements and accurate demand forecasts.

  • Lead and/or participate in projects and implementations that identify and improve customer service, inventory investment and supply chain effectiveness.

  • Work with customers to optimize extended value streams.

  • Manage complex value streams across 3M sites and outsource locations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of two (2) years of supply chain experience in a plant, division, or staff organization in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Logistics

  • Current APICS certification

  • Experience with six sigma and lean manufacturing

  • Ability to apply supply chain management concepts and strategies, constraint management, and distribution requirement planning knowledge to ensure plans support business needs/goals (Is this clear?)

  • Good interpersonal communication, team skills and the ability to work across functions

  • Strong decision-making and problem solving abilities

  • Experience with data analysis, and the ability to translate data and apply to business decisions

  • Demonstrated understanding and ability in business related software, especially MS Excel and BOXI.

  • Experience with toolsets and systems including COMS, PeopleSoft, SCPA and i2 Rhythm planning tools.

  • Strong desire to advance in the Supply Chain field

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

Location: Cottage Grove, MN

Travel: May include up to 5%
