THE WORK

• Repairing and monitoring a variety of simulator-specific computers, motion bases, and visual systems

• Performing advanced fault isolation, operational checks, and preventive maintenance actions of simulators and associated training systems

• Documenting all maintenance actions and support activities using software database programs, associated forms, and maintenance logbooks

• Troubleshooting using oscilloscopes, signal generators, strip chart recorders, logic analyzers, frequency analyzers, and digital voltmeters

• Performing routine preventive maintenance using maintenance manuals and work instructions

• Conducting daily system readiness tests, pre-operational and post-operational checkouts

Basic Qualifications:

• Possess a working knowledge of electronics and demonstrated ability to apply hardware/software diagnostic skills in systematically isolating and resolving simulator discrepancies

• Demonstrate the ability to perform routine preventive maintenance using maintenance manuals and work instructions

• Hold a current and active CompTIA Security+ Certification (or equivalent, such as DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification or higher)

• Be available to work flexible hours, including extended shifts and variable days of the week

• Have experience with test equipment, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, strip chart recorders, logic analyzers, frequency analyzers, and digital voltmeters

Desired Skills:

• Aircraft maintenance experience

• Previous experience as a Simulator Technician, specifically on Level D Simulators

• Proficient computer networking skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
