Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Academic Research Summer Intern to join our Advanced Clinical Research Team located in Danvers, MA .

Requirements:

The Advanced Clinical Research team is responsible for the scientific design and oversight of Abiomed clinical trials as well as advanced development of technology to improve management of and outcomes for patients in a critical care setting. Team members have the opportunity to see the newest technologies, guide research and development, and be the first to explore new fields that have real potential to positively impact patients’ lives. Successful candidate will receive guidance, training, and mentoring from colleagues in planning and carrying out projects but will be expected to take ownership of their projects and drive them to completion.

  • Team-player, positive attitude, and strong communication skills

  • Presence on-site in Danvers

Qualifications:

  • Student pursuing a degree in math, science, or engineering

  • Knowledge of biology (cardiac physiology preferred) and basic statistics

  • Strong critical thinking – understand a problem, develop a methodical approach, and synthesize results into actionable conclusions

  • Versed in at least one analytic software (ex. Excel, Matlab, GraphPad, Minitab, Prism, R, etc)

Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

The anticipated base pay for this position is between 22$ per hour and 51.50$ per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience. This position is overtime eligible. Intern/Co-ops may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as medical insurance, sick time, holiday pay, and the Company’s consolidated retirement plan in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans. Housing stipend will be offered for those that qualify. This position is ineligible for severance.
