This is a full-time, exempt position

Position Summary

The Ag Services and Oilseeds Business Unit Finance Manager for NA Origination works very close with the Commercial team and partners with Operations and Corporate service functions to establish and execute connection with business needs from the finance perspective, aligned with business goals and global corporate strategy. This includes growth projects, business and financial planning cycle, business performance and operating profit tracking (forecast, estimation and actuals comparison), key initiatives and/or analytical support of financial results. This position coordinates with Business Development, FP&A, Accounting, Operations, Centers of Excellence and other corporate functions across the company.

The candidate will be hands on supporting the respective business in accomplishing their strategic financial and business objectives. This position will be responsible for support and coordinate business objectives by providing business intelligence and insightful information to monitor financial strategy. Key success factors for this role include teamwork, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to quickly adapt to changing business and project needs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare One Page and Project Returns in coordination with Business Development team

  • Develop monitor and manage metrics, KPI’s, customer service level agreements and relationships

  • Provide insights about current and forecast OP, as well as anticipate any deviation from the plan

  • Develop a good business partnering relationship with operation and commercial teams and other centers of excellence

  • Regular communication and interaction with various levels of business management

  • Work with Senior Leadership to identify and lead process improvement initiatives, process efficiencies

  • Partner with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) to support the financial reporting process

  • Partner across the finance organization with a focus on driving actions that improve the business performance

  • Assist with the annual business plan including operating, capital and financial components

  • Provide insightful information about business risks/opportunities and understand variances vs. prior and vs. plan

  • Partner with the business to support, educate, and track return metrics

  • Prepare external and internal presentations for business as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. A Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a financial, business development or accounting role

  • Strong ability to coach and influence, provide clear expectations and timely direct feedback, both positive and constructive

  • Strong analytical abilities, initiative and problem solving skills

  • Strong oral and communication skills as well as the ability to interface with various levels of management

  • Self-motivated with the ability to function independently as well as lead in a team environment

  • Demonstrated capacity to handle diverse number of projects simultaneously

  • Independent, inquisitive and a self-starter

  • Strong MS Office skills (i.e. Power Point and Excel)

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems a plus

  • Ability to travel as needed
