1st Shift - Full Time

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all material moves and transactions, including shipping, receiving and production support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Follows all applicable policies and procedures including safety and health

  • Required to work overtime schedule as requested to meet production needs based on overtime procedures

  • Performs duties in accordance with standard work (takt time, work sequence, swip)

  • Operates Powered Industrial Trucks (PITS) and Aerial Work Platforms (AWP)

  • Completes required documentation and system transactions needed for material moves and inventory audits

  • Physically handles material movement and preparation

  • Support production through material conveyance

  • Use andon for identification of variance from standard work

  • Participates in activities and exercises in support of the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) – 5S, kaizen, etc.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic understanding of duties and responsibilities in both Shipping/Receiving and Production Support areas

  • Basic understanding of safety requirements in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively both oral and written

  • Ability to operate fork trucks and aerial work platforms

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and their proper application

  • Basic knowledge of measuring devices

  • Basic math functions - add, subtract, multiply, and divide

  • Basic knowledge of SAP

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be physically mobile with ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, twist, reach, climb, and walk

  • Must be able to work at heights and comply with facility fall-protection requirements

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 lbs

  • Must be able to perform the above physical demands for extended periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Subject to inside environmental conditions – protected from weather conditions but not temperature changes – exposure to occasional temperature extremes (below 32 degrees or above 100 degrees)

Additional Information:

  • 1st Shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm)

  • Full Time with Benefits

  • Starting Pay is $16.00

Summary Pay Range:

$15.63 - $22.22
