As a senior leadership team member, the Vice President of Global TNF Footwear provides leadership and vision to drive Footwear Product design and Brand positioning by executing product categories that effectively build the most technically innovative products. Provides dynamic, visible and inspirational leadership to positively impact business initiatives. Accountable for business results, profit & loss and executing key initiatives. Brings a track record in managing a successful business and proven experience in strategic and business planning. A leader with the ability to conceive and create new thinking and ideas pertaining to products and the presentation of product and business processes.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in all aspects of The North Face’s Footwear division, including formulation and execution of a global business plan, both short and long-term.

  • Continually analyzes the business results against the plan and takes appropriate action as necessary to maximize profitability and minimize risks.

  • Work in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Merchandising management to establish achievable sales objectives and strategies.

  • Is accountable for delivering an innovation pipeline including margin accretive product building blocks

  • Assist sales management in building and establishing relationships with key customers.

  • Ensures technical superiority for the Footwear product line by focusing on components, products systems, and disciplines, which emphasize the continuous philosophy of creating “performance-driven” Footwear

  • Develop 3-year line architecture that supports the strategic vision for the category

  • Lead the innovation vision for Footwear to bring innovation to market on a seasonal basis

  • Lead Footwear development on a seasonal basis from start to finish: material and technical development, prototype and sample development in close cooperation with product management, development and supply chain

  • Partners with Supply Chain, Sales and other department leaders to ensure corporate goals and objectives are met.

  • Maximizes category presence among current distribution channels and identifies new focused products for existing accounts and channels.

  • Drives sell through the process by providing product–driven sales support tools that educate and facilitate an informed purchase.

  • Multi-category and multi-region product engine leadership experience

What we expect you already know:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required with 12+ years of product management, retail buying/merchandising, sourcing and manufacturing experience with a global footwear business with proven success building businesses.

Thorough knowledge of best global materials, product development, and manufacturing practices needed.

Strong interpersonal skills and leadership of a globally dispersed and operationally diverse team are key requirements.

A proven track record of setting strategy and driving change in large organizations. Demonstrated leadership capability in a creative environment, strong strategic planning and analytical skills as well as product merchandising expertise required.

Hiring Range :

$259,200.00 USD - $324,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.

Long-Term Incentive Potential : This position is eligible to participate in a Long-Term Incentive Plan. Specific details of the plan will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
