Job Description

The Senior Principal Pricing Analyst is responsible for the development and execution of analytical strategies which have significant impact on the enterprise. The position influences a team of skilled analysts with responsibility for researching, designing and developing new network analytic products and new network data sources for Prime and its customers to optimize outcomes and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive and relevant program level analysis and reporting to Prime’s leadership through the oversight of the applied analytics function

  • Leverage extensive pharmacy benefit management (PBM) and healthcare industry expertise to provide strategic analytical consultative services to a variety of audiences (e.g., clients, technical teams, project team members, executives)

  • Drive transformation and process standardization, execution, and improvement for all analytic work products

  • Ensure the prioritization of strategic and department level initiatives; define performance goals and targets and assess outcomes

  • Communicate data findings, outcomes and strategies to cross-functional teams, Prime’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and executives, and Prime’s clients

  • Develop standardization and automation of new best practice processes, procedures, and templates

  • Create cost/benefit, return on investment (ROI) analysis and other financial reports and models to support the business, while offering critical evaluation on both strategic and financial impacts to Prime

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied match, statistics, engineering, accounting, finance, economics, business, computer sciences or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 10 years of work experience in analytics, pricing, quality improvement and/or business analysis, to include 5 years of experience in managed care or the pharmacy benefit management industry

  • 5 years of experience using Tableau, SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Teradata, R, or Python technologies

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to establish rapport and effectively influence at all levels within an organization

  • Ability to identify and implement consultative services opportunities

  • Expert ability to communicate effectively and present complex data to a wide variety of audiences

  • Expert influencing change and adoption of new analytic capabilities to support pricing financial analytics

  • Ability to manage multiple, complex project simultaneously without compromising quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Health Care Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Math or related area of study

  • Experience in software product management such as SaaS or PaaS engagement model

  • Experience with the design and development of new analytic products (full lifecycle experience from concept ideation to deployment)

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Assistant Vice President in the Finance department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $124,000.00 - $211,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
