Job Summary:

The Facility Safety Coordinator oversees the Emergency Preparedness Program and a Safety Management Program designed to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients, employees, physicians, and visitors, as well as the assets of the facility. The Safety Coordinator is also responsible for Project management support, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with all employees and customers of the medical center, and support on the Complyos documentation software upkeep and uploading of documents.

  • You will help develop, implement and monitor hospital wide safety management programs.

  • You willprovide oversite and helps ensure that the hospital is in compliance with The Joint Commission, Federal EPA, OSHA and state regulations.

  • You willwork with the Director of Plant Operations and the Director of Safety and Security to ensure that all EC/LS binders are accurate and up to date.

  • You willserve as the Safety Committee Chair and consults with staff on hospital wide safety and security issues, waste management control and hazardous waste management.

  • You willmaintain training records for the department and ensures appropriate training is given to critical staff.

  • You will respond to employee safety and security concerns by examining safety issues, preparing corrective actions and ensuring appropriate follow-up.

  • You will work with Director of Safety and Security to ensure the OSHA 300 log is up to date.

  • 3 years of hospital regulatory and/or plant logistics experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience in hospital regulatory/plant logistics requirements
  • Experience on personal computers using spreadsheets, word processing and review and uploading of regulatory documentation
