Job Description:

Job Summary

This position is part of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team within the Operational Technology Cybersecurity program at UPS. The individual in this role participates in the creation and implementation of risk management policies and procedures as well as maintaining records of compliance. They support the processes for technical and physical risk management to protect UPS’s technology assets. Additionally, this individual participates in the development of security awareness training that focuses on the Human Line of Defense.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs assessments on existing operational technology controls

  • Identifies Risks, Issues, & Gaps in existing controls and future control requirements

  • Reviews and updates policies and procedures specific to operational technology

  • Monitors information security industry standards to recommend improvements to management

  • Responds and assesses security events and conducts analysis as directed by management

  • Assists in investigations of breaches of security to identify system vulnerabilities, to reduce service losses and to facilitate prompt remediation

  • Assists in supporting various InfoSec business solutions and strategy

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in reviewing contracts/agreements, riders, and appendices

  • Ability to recommend changes to existing standards based on changes in industry/regulation

  • Awareness of privacy laws and regulations such as GDPR, CCPA/CCRA, etc.

  • Familiarity of SaaS concepts, infrastructure, network protocols, and encryption

  • The ability to communicate effectively among diverse teams (written and oral)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or International equivalent (required)

  • Professional certification in Risk Management, Compliance, or related area (required)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience (5+ preferred)
